Yanessa Leiva is an innovative STEM educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from Florida International University and Florida educator certification in Science and Mathematics (Grades 5–9). Her experience includes teaching science, mathematics, and STEM through inquiry-based instruction while developing engaging hands-on learning experiences that increase student achievement. In addition to her classroom experience, Yanessa has successfully led educational programs, coordinated community initiatives, and managed her own business, giving her a unique perspective on leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Yanessa is passionate about preparing students for the future by blending science, engineering, technology, and creative problem-solving into every lesson. She believes the best learning happens when students ask questions, investigate real-world challenges, and discover that innovation begins with curiosity.
