Ms. Heidi Breen – Elementary Educator & Growth Mindset Advocate

Ms. Heidi Breen is a passionate and reflective educator dedicated to inspiring young learners to think independently and grow confidently. A graduate of Florida Atlantic University, she holds a B.A. in Elementary Education along with endorsements in Reading and ESOL, equipping her to meet the diverse needs of every student she serves.

Now in her seventh year of teaching, Heidi draws upon a rich background that began in an unexpected place—her early career as a Conference Service Manager. It was there she discovered her love for planning, creating, and delivering impactful experiences, a skill set she knew she could bring into the classroom to help students find purpose and joy in learning.

Throughout her educational journey, Heidi has taught a wide range of grade levels from kindergarten through 8th grade. Each experience has sharpened her instructional practice and strengthened her belief that learning should be both rigorous and joyful. Her classrooms are built on a foundation of curiosity, collaboration, and inclusion, where every child feels empowered to develop a strong growth mindset and unlock their creative potential.

Heidi champions student-centered approaches like educational technology and project-based learning to spark engagement and accelerate academic growth. She believes in guiding—not directing—students to become adaptable, enthusiastic thinkers prepared to thrive in any environment.

Outside the classroom, you’ll often find Heidi soaking up the beauty of the natural world. Whether she’s exploring marine life on her paddleboard, strolling the beach, or tending to her flourishing garden, she draws inspiration from nature’s lessons in patience, resilience, and trust.
