Mrs. Kelly Shoumate is a multi-talented educator whose passion for environmental science, zoology, and design fuels the vibrant learning experiences she brings to Curious Innovators of America. A Palm Beach native and graduate of Forest Hill High School’s Environmental Science Magnet Program, Kelly’s academic journey began with a deep curiosity about ecosystems and sustainability. Her early career as an Animal Care Specialist and Certified Dog Trainer allowed her to work hands-on with a wide variety of species, shaping her understanding of biology, behavior, and the natural world—knowledge she now brings into the classroom with real-world relevance and enthusiasm.
Her creative path took shape through her studies in Graphic Design at Palm Beach State College and her successful launch of a marketing agency in 2016. Specializing in branding, web development, and visual communication, Kelly has helped local businesses thrive, while refining her ability to blend artistry with purpose—an approach that deeply informs her teaching.
Inspired by her grandfather, the celebrated Art Deco architect Belford Shoumate, Kelly naturally integrates structure, form, and beauty into her lessons. Her unique perspective bridges science and art, encouraging students to explore how design and innovation intersect with the world around them. Through each STEM lesson and creative challenge, Kelly empowers young innovators to think critically, express boldly, and create with intention.
