Ms. Amy Joo is a dedicated illustrator and visual development artist with a deep commitment to fostering creative expression. With a lifelong passion for drawing, painting, and the world of animation, she loves sharing that enthusiasm with young learners.
Graduating from Art Center College of Design with a B.F.A. in Illustration – Entertainment Art, Ms. Joo has honed skills in both traditional and digital media throughout her studies. Her expertise includes painting techniques with oil, acrylic, and mixed media, as well as industry-standard digital software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate.

In the classroom, Ms. Joo encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and storytelling. She values creating an encouraging environment and helps students build strong foundational skills that
open the door to creative ingenuity. Students can experience a balance of imaginative exploration and practical, hands-on exercises to develop both confidence and technique. Having a background as a teaching assistant, along with extensive volunteer work in youth programs, has
strengthened her ability to connect with learners. At Curious Innovators of America, she is excited to guide students in transforming their unique stories and interests into paintings —
sparking inspiration, craftsmanship, and inventive thinking.
