Ms. Amy Joo is a dedicated illustrator and visual development artist with a deep commitment to fostering creative expression.
With a lifelong passion for drawing, painting, and the world of animation, she loves sharing that enthusiasm with young learners. A graduate of Art Center College of Design with a B.F.A. in Illustration – Entertainment Art, Ms. Joo has honed skills in both traditional and digital media, from oil, acrylic, and mixed-media painting to industry-standard software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Procreate.
In the classroom, she encourages curiosity, problem-solving, and storytelling, creating an encouraging environment where students build strong foundational skills that open the door to creative ingenuity. Students experience a balance of imaginative exploration and practical, hands-on exercises designed to develop both confidence and technique.
Her background as a teaching assistant, along with extensive volunteer work in youth programs, has strengthened her ability to connect with learners. At Curious Innovators, she is excited to guide students in transforming their unique stories and interests into art — sparking inspiration, craftsmanship, and inventive thinking.
