Ms. Catherine “Cathy” Cross brings over two decades of artistic passion and educational excellence to Curious Innovators of America. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University and a certification from the North American Montessori Center (NAMC), Cathy’s teaching style is a masterful fusion of creativity, compassion, and hands-on learning.
Her career began on the vibrant stages of New York City, where she served as a drama instructor for the Gilgamesh Theatre Company, specializing in programs for students with unique abilities. During her time in NYC, Cathy also thrived as an off-Broadway actress, performing in acclaimed productions such as Black and White and Earth Paradise. These experiences enriched her ability to captivate and connect with students through the power of storytelling and performance.
In 2005, Cathy founded Jupiter Music Together LLC in Florida, nurturing a love for music in young children through rhythm, melody, and joyful movement. Her deep Montessori roots, built over 14 years of classroom experience, include teaching Art, Drama, Reading, and Math in environments that prioritize student-led discovery and whole-child development.
Whether she’s leading a drama workshop, guiding a painting project, or inspiring young rockstars at a local music school, Ms. Cathy brings boundless energy, theatrical flair, and a heart for every learner. Her classroom is a stage where creativity takes center stage—and every child is empowered to find their voice.
